The following 16 Teams are selected based on following Rules:
(a) All Champion Teams from each of the Seven Asia West Sites (Total = 7)
(b) Since there was no Asia WC Final, the following formula was recommended by Asia West Steering Committee and approved by Asia Governor and by ICPC Executive Director: The scores of all Asia West contest sites were calculated based on registration counts and by using the 20%-80% weight scores + 80% bonus for onsite contest. The calculated scores are used to select the nine Runner-up Teams with a cap of 4 teams (Total = 9).
